FACULTY / STAFF

St. Mary's Assumption School is included in the Holy Redeemer System of the Diocese of Scranton.  Bishop Bambara is the spiritual leader of our school.  The Diocese of Scranton School's office, under the direction of the superintendent presides over St. Mary's Assumption School.

Our faculty and administrative staff consists of fully trained and certified professional educators who have specific qualifications for the work they are asked to do with our children.

Our teaching faculty consists of 10 full time teachers from Pre-K through 8th grade; Full time aides for Pre-K and Kindergarten, a computer aide, a learning center teacher, a librarian, 2 secretaries; a full time custodian and principal and the pastor as the administrator.

Our faculty is family oriented as well and fully dedicated educators who put in the extra time before and after school when needs for individual students arise.  Each teacher has a school approved plan for continuous professional development.

The Local Intermediate Unit (LIU) provides our school with the following services:

• Shared services with the local public school nurse

• Math and Reading Services

• Shared services of Guidance Counselor

• Speech, Vision, Hearing Specialists

• Availability of educational and psychological testing
